The municipality of Lagos de Moreno is celebrating its 462nd anniversary in 2025. With the aim of involving all residents in this celebration, the Municipal Government of the Los Altos region, along with the direction of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, has organized the "Cultural Sports Festival 2025: Magic, Tradition, and History."
The festival will take place from March 14 to March 31 of this year and will include free activities that combine art, music, sports, and civic recognitions. The inauguration will be held on Friday, March 14 at 12:00 PM with the exhibition of the VIII Regional Painting Award of Los Altos at the Cultural Center and City Museum. That same afternoon, at 7:00 PM, the José Rosas Moreno Theater will host the Gala Opera concert performed by the Jalisco State Choir.
Among the confirmed activities for the festival are the concert "All the Ships of the World" by singer-songwriter Jaramar Soto on March 15, the presentation of the Jalisco Ballet on March 16, the performance by the group La Garfield on March 22, and the presentation of Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlán on March 23.
The festival's highlight events will take place at the end of the month with a concert by the group Cuca on March 29 and a concert by Tania Libertad on March 31. The official closing of the festival will be on Monday, March 31 with the Solemn Session of the City Council at the José Rosas Moreno Theater at 6:00 PM, where the "My City Awards" will be presented to outstanding residents for their community contributions.
Finally, following the ceremony, the Parish of Our Lady of the Assumption will be illuminated with a videomapping show, merging technology and heritage in a visual tribute to local history.
